Dining chairs
Chairs with loose joints completely dismantled and reassembled, and damaged parts repaired or replaced.

I have been a furniture restorer in Winchester for over 30 years, preserving and restoring both antique and modern pieces. Whether it’s a broken drawer handle or a badly water-damaged cabinet, each item is treated with the same care and attention.
These days I am semi-retired and no longer take on large items such as dining tables, desks or wardrobes. Everything that comes through the door now is small enough to carry.
Cleaning, waxing and polishing too. If yours isn’t here, please ask.
Every repair is done by me, by hand, in my workshop at Littleton. This short film follows a few days in the workshop, from taking a chair apart to carving a new piece and finishing it to match.
Watch the film, two minutes“I can honestly say, he restored it, beautifully. He stuck to his timescale and for the perfect quality of work he undertook, the cost was extremely reasonable.”
“Our dining table was in a real state when Simon came to see it. Simon took it away, and when it came back a few weeks later it looked and felt better than it did new.”
“An excellent outcome with a timely, economic, quality and attractive restoration blending in very well (it’s hard to see where they have been repaired).”
If you have a query or would like to arrange your free estimate, please get in touch and I will get back to you as soon as possible. A photo or two of the piece is a great help.
