About Simon

I have been a furniture restorer in Winchester for over 30 years, preserving and restoring both antique and modern pieces from my own workshop in Littleton.

Smaller pieces, the same care

Now that I am semi-retired, I have chosen to concentrate on smaller furniture: dining chairs, stools, and small tables and cabinets.

Whether it’s a broken drawer handle or a badly water-damaged cabinet, each item is treated with the same care and attention, and I will always give you a free estimate before any work starts.

In the workshop

Every repair is done by me, by hand, in my workshop at Littleton. This short film follows a few days in the workshop, from taking a chair apart to carving a new piece and finishing it to match.

“I can honestly say, he restored it, beautifully. He stuck to his timescale and for the perfect quality of work he undertook, the cost was extremely reasonable.”

Kate Botham

“Our dining table was in a real state when Simon came to see it. Simon took it away, and when it came back a few weeks later it looked and felt better than it did new.”

Jeremy Leverton

“An excellent outcome with a timely, economic, quality and attractive restoration blending in very well (it’s hard to see where they have been repaired).”
